Meet Our Staff:
Susan Schopp is the CEO of Neighborhood News, Inc., as well as the founder of Neighbors Choice, LLC. Neighborhood News, Inc. was formed in 1996 and has been in constant operation since then. In February of 2020, plans were finalized and the company began offering franchise opportunities under the name Neighbors Choice®.
Susan has worked on many neighborhood boards and also served as the chair of the Neighborhood Resource Center, a non-profit formed to assist neighborhood leadership with the day-to-day operations of their associations. She also has a background in journalism and has written for multiple publications.
Assistant to CEO/Bookkeeper:
Stacey Rhodes joined the staff as bookkeeper in the fall of 2020 and quickly became an invaluable team member.
She brings with her a wealth of general business knowledge as well as excellent bookkeeping, financial and HR skills.
In her position Stacey works with both businesses as well as any additional initiatives.
Director of Sales
John Schopp is the Vice President of Sales and has been involved with both Neighborhood News, Inc. and Neighbors Choice, LLC since their inception. John has also spent a lot of time volunteering on neighborhood boards and other community projects.
John was an integral part of the launching of Neighborhood News back in 1996 and has continued to assist with business operations as the companies have grown.
For most of his career he owned and operated Gulfstar Corporation, an oil and gas drilling and operations company based in San Antonio, Texas.
General Manager:
Ariel Due has been with Neighborhood News since 2006. She is a very talented individual and has worked in almost every department, ending up as Production Manager, a role she served in for 6 years. In the fall of 2022 Ariel was promoted General Manager.
Ariel is the first person many neighborhoods talk to and she guides them along the way to getting set up and on their way.
She has extensive knowledge in graphic design, web design, electronic media and a multitude of other areas regarding production from concept to delivery.
Sharon Reynolds has been with the company going on four years. Her resume boasts extensive knowledge with the Adobe Suite of Products as well as WordPress Design.
Sharon works as a graphic designer and enjoys using her excellent photoshop skills whenever possible.
Sharon is a talented writer and writes general content for newsletters and also handles our weekly e-mail blast.
We appreciate her always taking the time to improve on our products and making sure they always reach the standard of quality we strive to provide.
Faye Babbitt is the first employee ever hired and has seen the evolution of both companies since 1997.
Faye works as Distribution Manager and is very knowledgeable with various printing/production processes and has extensive knowledge and experience working with the US Postal Service.
We always appreciate her great attitude and willingness to help in any area of the business.
Danny Due assists Faye in our Production Department. As Ariel’s husband, Danny has been along for the ride for many years.
However, this past year, when the pandemic threatened many small businesses, Danny found himself needing additional work.
It worked out well because it so happened that we needed additional help.
We are thankful to have Danny’s help and his great attitude and commitment to excellent service has made him a vital part of our staff.
